Mariel Vázquez is the Innovation Observatory Director at Bankia, where she is in charge of creating new relationships between startups ecosystems and the corporation. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a PDD from IESE Business School. Professionally focused on digital economy and Internet businesses from her very beginning, she has specialized in large companies digital transformation and innovation strategy. Prior to her current position at Bankia, she was Head of Digital at Sanitas (BUPA Group), where she spent 6 years creating digital capabilities to better manage customer’s health. Previously, she worked for Telefónica for 9 years managing Online Yellow Pages, building one of the groundbreaking digital businesses in Spain at that time.
